The former Ghana captain came top in the sit-up and press-up challenges, seeing off competition from actors Prince David Osei and Aaron Adatsi of YOLO fame.
Speaking after picking up his prize, Stephen Appiah urged Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of exercising and keeping fit.
Tornado as he is affectionately called expressed that keeping the body fit is key to battling some of health problems people face these days.
'I stopped playing football some six years ago, but as you can see I am still looking fit and the secret is that, I do a lot of exercise and I am happy to see all these people here and it shows how people are taking exercise very serious,'' Appiah said.
He added, "I encourage people to engage in any form exercising your body not only running around for long hours, but exercising in any small way and we should be mindful of what we eat as well."
The Celebrity Workout an initiative of Primeval Media is regarded as the biggest and most entertaining keep fit event in the country.
