Rashid Sumaila handed late Ghana call up for Kenya qualifier

Red Star Belgrade defender Rashid Sumaila has been handed a late Black Stars call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah for the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya

Nuhu picked an ankle injury on Saturday in TSG Hoffenheim clash with Freiburg in the German Bundesliga hence been ruled out of the game.

Coach Appiah who earlier missed Metz defender John Boye for the clash due to an injury he sustained on Tuesday is left with no option than to invite the Red Star Belgrade defender who has been part of the Black Stars for a while.

The 25-year-old is expected to join the team in Ethiopia on Monday where they will start preparation for the Kenya clash.
