According to the NDC Scribe, Chairman aspirant would have to GHS10,000 as filing fee ahead of the national delegates conference on 20 October 2018.
Other aspirants will pay the following as filing fee;
NEC members without portfolio – GHS 2,000
All other deputy positions also attract same charge – GHS 2,000
National Zongo Coordinator – GHS 4,000
Youth and Women Organiser – GHS 4,000
National Communication, Organiser and Deputy Youth Organiser – GHS 6,000
General Secretary and National Vice – GHS 8,000
Addressing the press at the party's Headquarters in Accra on August 20, 2018, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, noted that, the purchasing of the nomination forms has been slated for the period of 23rd to 25th August 2018.
The filing of the nomination forms has also been slated for 29 August to September 5.
The time for vetting and balloting will be held between 10-13th September.
The 12-17th Septemeber has also been set for the hearing of appeals.
The notice of appeals will also be held on September 20.
The youth and women's wing elections will be held on October 13, followed by the National Delegates Congress which will be held on October 20, 2018.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has cautioned persons vying for national positions in the party to refrain from insults and character assassination in their campaigns.
He said any persons who breach the party’s regulation will be dragged before the disciplinary committee for sanctions.
“The campaign shall be conducted in a civil manner devoid of mudslinging, political vilification, insults, acrimony, and rancor. All aspirants shall have equal and unfettered access to delegates. Camping of delegates is therefore not an acceptable practice.
“Anybody or aspirant who flouts these regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the constitution of the party.”
