I’ll spend about $300,000 on my chairmanship bid – Ashie Moore brags

Ahead of the NDC's regional delegate’s conference, news has emerged that one of the contenders for the Regional chairman position, Emmanuel Ashie Moore is out there beating his chest and bragging that he has allegedly budgeted over $300,000 for the forthcoming regional conference.

He also claims he intends to share 1 desktop computer plus printer to every delegate due to vote in the forthcoming elections.

Ashie Moore allege to have made enough money from land guard business and that he intends to buy the regional chairman's position like the 'Freddy Blay style.'

The former Adenta MP who was disgraced at the last primaries further alleged that he will buy airtime on the morning shows of a number of radio stations amounting to GHC1 million, to send his message across to the Greater Accra delegates.

Sources say, Ashie Moore made these allegations at a friend’s house a few days ago and he was so sure money will do the trick for him.

This is not surprising though because most NDC folks are aware that Ashie Moore has been in bed with the NPP since he lost the bid for re-election as the Member of Parliament for the Adenta constituency.

Indeed, Ashie Moore is heard to have said he strategically helped the NPP to snatch the Adenta Seat after he lost his second term bid in return for funding to contest any future elections.

“So it is just normal for the NPP to fund his Greater Accra chairmanship bid,” he said.

At the time that civil society is on the throat of politicians for influencing voters with cash, observers are worried and are watching to see if NDC Greater Accra delegates will fall for this gimmick and cash for vote.
