Sivasspor chairman Mecnun Otyakmaz confirmed the departure of the Ghanaian alongside other players including Congolese forward Thievy Bifouma.
“The contracts of Brazilian Auremir Dos Santos, Ghanaian John Boye, Ukrainian Serhiy Rybalka, Senegalese Henri Saivet and Congo Thievy Bifouma have come to an end.
“If there are players in there who have desire to continue, we can meet again and get back into the team,” he said.
The former Stade Rennais player struggled in his last season with Sivasspor, managing only nine appearances all season.
Perhaps the highlight of his season was the tackle he made on ?stanbul Ba?ak?ehir’s Arda Turan, that led to the Turk pushing the assistant referee.
Boye is now a free agent and has already been linked to Greek sides, Panathanaikos and Olympiakos.
Boye made 65 appearances fot Sivasspor during his time at the club, scoring 9 goals.
