He said: “Anas Aremeyaw Anas is not an employee of Government and his investigative work is not sponsored by the Government or any political party.”
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra at the weekend, Mr Opoku said those criticising the investigative methodology of Anas had been unable to provide Ghanaians with a credible alternative to fighting corruption.
He said Anas was a tried, tested and trusted investigative journalist with worldwide recognition and that “as Ghanaians, we would not allow haters to destroy his credibility and integrity.”
Mr Opoku said: “The brand and reputation of Anas is solid as a rock and no counter video/audio or distorted material evidence can destroy his trusted works.
“Anas deserves even more property than he is having now, considering his patriotic, selfless and solid contribution to the State as far as the fight of corruption is concerned”
He said Anas was a hero and deserved commendation and not condemnation, adding; “Amazingly, those attacking Anas have questionable integrity and credibility deficiencies.” Read Full Story
