Renovation of Azumah Nelson Sports Complex will cost GHC18 million - Sports Minister

The Youth and Sports Ministry will be coughing out GHC18 million for the refurbishment of the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex located in Kaneshie, a suburb in Accra.

The Azumah Nelson Sports Complex has been in deplorable state for the past 20 years.

And in order to give the facility a facelift, the Sports Ministry will be spending GHC 18 million.

According to information gathered by Ghanacrusader.com, the renovation of the facility will take 15 months.

According to the Sports Ministry PRO, Elvis Agyei Baah, the Azumah Nelson Complex will housed most of the national teams after the refurbishment.

“The Sports Ministry will spending GHC 8million for the renovation of the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex,” he said.

He continued, “When it is done, most of the national teams will be camping there.” Read Full Story
