Baba Rahman set for Schalke medical

Chelsea left back Baba Rahman is reportedly on his way to Germany to complete his medical at Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04ahead of his proposed loan deal.

The Ghana international has been out of action for a year after injuring his knee during last year’s AFCON in Gabon.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea is keen to free up some space at left full back due to the imminent arrival of Roma left back Emerson Palmeiri, and have already offloaded Kennedy to Newcastle.

Everton and Inter Milan were among the teams that were after the Ghanaian’s signature.

Baba Rahman joined the Blues in 2015 with Jose Mourinho as Chelsea boss, but has since struggled to replicate the form that earned him the £22m move from Augsburg. Read Full Story
