The matter was discussed at length especially in the wake of Ghana’s disastrous Brazil 2014 World Cup Campaign where there was alleged misappropriation of state funds.
Director of Communications at the GFA,Ibrahim Saani Daara strongly believes that the mindset that the FA is corrupt is only an illusion that can be corrected if they eventually become a body free of state influence.

“At least when it gets to the point where you are independent,no one can question your motives.
“And also if we are independent and raise our own funds to carry out our activities we will behave like how some federation in other parts of the world do,” he told Kwese Sports in an interview.
The FA is set to hold its extra ordinary congress in a few weeks where a number of reforms are expected to be deliberated.
