The game which many thought would have been easy for Kotoko turned out differently as Dreams FC were resilient and not subdued by the stature of Kotoko.
Dreams broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime through striker Richard Addae.
Kotoko came back strong in the second half but Coach Steve Pollack and his charges pushed for the equalizer and were awarded a penalty in the 68th minute.
New Kotoko striker Fredrick Boateng stepped up but failed to put the ball past Dreams goalkeeper Ishawu Yahaya.
Dream held on till the final whistle and will now hope for a win in their last group game against Eleven Wonders to ensure their qualification into the next round as Aduana will square off with Kotoko.
