However, the quick response of the Ghana National Fire Service managed to prevent any possible disaster that could have happened after the tanker overturned.
The situation reportedly caused chaos on the Motorway resulting in a severe traffic jam on the Accra-Tema stretch of the Motorway.
Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Prince Billy Anaglate stated that the situation was immediately brought under control after they received a distress call Wednesday morning.
He added that personnel from the GNFS managed to seal the valve of the gas tanker and prevent the gas which was leaking from causing any disaster.
The tanker has since been transported to the Tanker Yard in Tema, Mr. Analate disclosed on Morning Starr.
