2018 WCQ: Black Stars hold first training in Cape Coast

The Black Stars took part in their first training session this afternoon at the Cape Coast Stadium ahead of their final World Cup qualifier against Egypt.

20 out of 23 players called up for the game took part in the session under the guidance of Head Coach Kwesi Appiah and his technical team.

Captain Asamoah Gyan was a late arrival to the session with right back Harrison Afful and striker Patrick Twumasi expected to join up with the team on Wednesday.

The match on Sunday has no real significance as Egypt have already sealed a spot at the World Cup but Appiah has said he’s using the game to assess his squad as he builds a competitive team for AFCON 2019.
