Government to start campaign on ethical conscience

The government will soon launch a massive awareness campaign program dubbed "values campaign”, Information Minister, Mustapha Hamid has announced.

According to Mr. Hamid, the values campaign will sensitize people on personal ethical code to inculcate high moral uprightness in society.

The programme will also focus on observance of the ethical code to ensure that people refrain from engaging in immorality including corruption, he said.

Mustapha Hamid made these known Wednesday, at a public lecture at the Islamic University College in Accra on the theme: "Who and What I Must Believe; Reflections on Life, Politics and Religion.

He explained that ethical codes are meant to guide people towards moral excellence or moral perfection.

The lecture forms part of the University’s goal to disseminate knowledge in pursuit of academic excellence and moral uprightness for national development.
