At the 20th Biennial Conference of the Ghana Society of Animal Production (GSAP) under the theme “Positioning the animal industry to achieve food security of stakeholders,” Dr. Teye indicated that if students learn agriculture they will be able to engage in it themselves.
“Bringing back Agriculture as a core subject in second cycle institutions is the underlining word for creating jobs and solving unemployment situation because if you put one maize down you will get over 200 so Agriculture should be practically oriented” Dr. Teye reinforced.
He observed that a lot of people on retirement rather go back to agriculture by doing animal farming underscoring the need for students at the secondary level to it earlier than waiting until retirement. Read Full Story
