Black Princesses star Ernestina Abambilla signs professional contract with FC Minsk

Ghana women’s Under-20 star Ernestina Abambilla has signed her first professional contract with Belarusian Women’s Premier League side FC Minsk on a long term deal.

Abambila, 18, moved to Youngstown State University (USA) following impressive performances at the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup in Costa Rica where the Black Maidens were eliminated by Italy in the quarter finals.

The former Hasaacas Ladies midfielder was also a key member of Mas-ud Didi Dramani’s side at last years FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea where the Black Princesses suffered a group stage elimination.

She joins fellow Ghanaian Faustina Ampah at Minsk.

FC Minsk are 4 time Champions of the Belarusian Women’s League and are currently top of the table with 11 matches played. They are also regularly participants in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Read Full Story
