Tagoe in last month’s ranking dropped from 8th to 12th, and again he has dropped to 15th in the latest ranking released by the World Boxing Authority (WBA)
Tagoe’s dropped in the ranking came after he vacated the WBA international lightweight belt – a belt he held for close to two years.
The James Town native won the IBO lightweight belt last December after claiming a unanimous win over South Africa’s Mzonke Fana.
On August 26th at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Tagoe will defend his IBO lightweight belt against WBA rated number Argenis Mendez.
