Expect another national disaster – Agona Kwanyarko Chief tells government

The Chief of Agona Kwanyarko in the Agona East district of the central region, Dr Ampem Darko (V) has called on the government and the Minister of Health to come to their aid immediately as their maternity Ward has become a death trap.

Nana Ampem Darko explained that, the structures of the clinic has developed cracks and he will not be surprise if it falls on the pregnant women who are due to deliver.

He disclosed these in an interview with Adom news.

The physician assistant in charge of Kwanyarko health center, Dr. Samuel Kwabena Yaquah revealed that over 18,000 people receive treatment at the area but they use torch light to work at night.

“We are appealing to the government to put pragmatic measures in place to renovate the health center immediately as the people over here are equally important” he stated. Read Full Story
