Kotoko seals Awal Mohammed deal

Asante Kotoko have completed the registration of returnee defender Awal Mohammed with the player available for selection starting this Sunday against Bolga All Stars.

The stalwart centre-back signed a one-year deal last week after passing a medical at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital,

He could be fielded by coach Zdravko Logarusic in league matches starting this Sunday.

Mohammed was transferred by Kotoko to South African side Maritzburg FC at the end of the 2012/13 season.

He went on to play for Al Shabab in the UAE, Moroccan side Raja Casablanca and Russian outfit Arsenal Tula.

The central defender has been training with Kotoko at Adako Jachie for weeks now to stay in shape for the rigorous demands of the season. Read Full Story
