Ghanaian defender Christopher Nakai Nettey has completed a move to Zimbabwean giants Dynamos FC, marking a significant new chapter in his career.
The 27-year-old right-back, widely remembered for his successful stint with Asante Kotoko, joined the Harare-based âGlamour Boys’ to bolster their defensive options ahead of a demanding season that includes a return to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Nettey made an immediate impact upon his arrival, earning a spot in the starting lineup during the club’s recent competitive fixtures.
His recruitment is seen as a strategic move by Dynamos to fill the void left by departing players and to inject veteran leadership into the squad.
The defender brings a wealth of experience from the Ghana Premier League, where he was a key figure in Asante Kotoko’s 2021/22 title-winning campaign.
Before making the switch to the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League, Nettey’s journey included spells with Accra Great Olympics and Nations FC.
Interestingly, he also briefly transitioned to the Futsal Premier League with Blessed Kickers FC in late 2024 to maintain his match fitness while eyeing a professional move abroad.
Having earned his stripes with the Black Stars in 2020 during AFCON qualifiers, Nettey's move to Dynamos is viewed as an opportunity to revive his prospects.
