Aduana FC bounced back from their recent struggles in the Ghana Premier League with a comfortable 2-0 victory over bottom-placed Eleven Wonders on Sunday at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.
The Ogya Boys headed into the encounter looking to end a four-match winless run in the league and produced a solid second-half performance to secure all three points in front of their home supporters.
After a tightly contested first half, Aduana finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute through Patrick Mensah.
The forward reacted quickest inside the box to slot home and give the hosts a deserved lead after sustained pressure.
Aduana continued to push forward in search of a second goal to put the contest beyond doubt, and their persistence paid off ten minutes later.
Youngster Richard Yeboah produced a moment of brilliance in the 73rd minute, unleashing a stunning strike to double Aduana’s advantage and ignite celebrations among the home fans.
The goal effectively sealed the victory for the Dormaa-based side, who managed the game well in the closing stages to keep their opponents at bay.
The result marks an important return to winning ways for Aduana after four games without a victory and strengthens their push for a place in the top three.
The defeat extends Wonders' miserable run this season as they remain rooted to the bottom of the league table.
