Austria Lustenau Sporting director Dieter Alge has hailed the signing of Ghanaian forward Asumah Abubakar, stressing the attacker do not only bring quality and goal threat, but also valuable experience that will help the team both on and off the pitch.
The 28-year-old recently secured a move to the Austrian second-tier outfit until the end of the season and is expected to play a huge role for the club.
The former FC Luzern attacker joined the Planet Pure Stadion outfit as a free agent after parting ways with Maltese Premier League club, Birkirkara FC in the recent window.
''We are very pleased to have signed an experienced striker like Abu for our club. He brings not only quality and a goal threat, but also valuable experience that will help our team both on and off the pitch.'' He said.
Asumah has a vast experience in the various divisions across Europe having taken in spells with Grasshoppers Zurich, FC Luzern, FC Lugano, Brisbane Roar and SC Kriens so far in his football career.
Despite featuring for Portugal youth team, the Kumasi-born native still remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
