Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito wants his team to motivate themselves and end their difficult run of results.
The Porcupine Warriors have had a tough spell in the Ghana Premier League, picking just two points from their last four games. In that period, they lost twice, drew twice, scored three goals, and conceded five.
These results have slowed their title chase, leaving them fifth on the table and five points behind leaders Medeama Sporting Club. Zito admits the situation is hard, but he believes the players can respond well, starting with their MTN FA Cup Round of 64 match against Future Stars FC.
Facing lower-division sides often brings extra pressure, but Kotoko’s coach is keeping his players focused.
"It is a fact most every match we will play the club motivates itself to play against us. We also things are not going well for us we are motivating ourselves that we wont allow this to continue," he told Asante Kotoko TV
"We can do it so we have to do it so that is our motivation factor now. But we have to come all out and win this game to at least put a little smile on the face of our supporters because I am very worried about them. They have the right to tell us everything because Kotoko never let us lack to be honest with you.
"I was addressing them to tell me what they are lacking that didn't come from Kotoko so if Kotoko is doing all these for us we shouldn't disgrace them,"
The FA Cup clash takes place on Wednesday, December 10, at Okese Park, kicking off at 3 pm.
