Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has shared her excitement after netting a brace to inspire Nottingham Forest Women to victory over Sunderland Women in the Women’s Super League 2.
The 30-year-old started and played full throttle of the match, as Nottingham Forest cruised to a 3-1 victory over their opponent in the week 10 clash at the weekend.
However, Boye-Hlorkah has expressed her joy after inspiring the side to the impressive victory on home turf.
"I said to myself before the game that I need to start scoring my goals, getting back on the score sheet, and assisting.
âTo get two goals today, I’m happy. And definitely, to get the win helps us climb the table, and that’s what we say; we just keep pushing, keep building, and see what happens,” she told Nottingham Forest TV.
Boye-Hlorkah broke the deadlock at City Ground in the 19th-minute mark after being set up by defender Chloe Mustaki.
In the 31st-minute, the home team scored their second goal of the match through Aimee Claypole, as they went to the halftime break with the advantage.
Sunderland Women reduced the deficit in the 69th minute through Emily Scarr before the Black Queens attacker grabbed her second goal in the 87th-minute to cement victory for the host.
The Black Queens forward has now racked up four goals in 10 appearances for Nottingham Forest Women this season.
