Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has shared his disappointment after the team’s narrow defeat to Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Week 13 opponent in an encounter staged at Hohoe Sports Stadium, leaving the team four matches without a win in the league.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Karim Zito expressed disappointment in the performance of Asante Kotoko in the first half, adding that his team lost because they were tactically indisciplined.
“To be serious with you, I’m disappointed with our first-half performance. I wasn’t happy at all. They had a good free kick, and it resulted in a goal. But I think we didn’t play well in the first half. We were tactically indisciplined,” Abdul Karim Zito said.
The defeat leaves Asante Kotoko in fifth position in the Ghana Premier League standings with 21 points, five points behind league leaders Medeama Sporting Club.
Next weekend, Kotoko will aim to end their four-game winless run when they take on Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
