Gideon Kodua scored a late goal to help Luton Town draw 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers in their League One clash at Kenilworth Road.
The English-Ghanaian forward started the game on the bench and was introduced in the 64th minute, replacing Jacob Brown. His energy lifted the home fans as Luton pushed hard for a response after falling behind early.
Bolton took the lead in the 8th minute when Kyle Dempsey fired a low shot into the bottom corner. Luton tried to break through but lacked the final touch in the first half.
The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 70th minute after Xavier Simons received a second yellow card for a rough challenge. Luton used the advantage well and pressed for the equalizer.
In the 83rd minute, Kodua made his moment count. Millenic Alli set him up inside the box, and he finished with his left foot into the center of the net, sending the stadium wild.
Both sides searched for a winner, but the match ended level. Luton Town now shift focus to their EFL Trophy match against Exeter City.
