Public Relations Officer of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku has made a passionate appeal to the club’s fans, urging them to turn out in their numbers and rally behind the team ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Medeama.
The Porcupine Warriors will play host to the Yellow and mauve in matchday eleven of the domestic top-flight, with both teams seeking for the three maximum points at stake.
Speaking to Kessben FM, Sarfo Duku appealed to the fans to fill the stadium to cheer the team to victory on home turf.
“We take on Medeama in a high-profile Premier League match on Sunday. We are going into the game with all seriousness. We need to fill the stadium to the brim because it’s not going to be an easy game for us” he said.
“We’ve shared the spoils with the league contenders including Aduana FC and Heart of Lions. Playing Medeama as one of the league contenders, we need to electrify the atmosphere to be able to beat them”
“I will plead with the fans not to disappoint us. They should come in their numbers because we are yet to lose a game this season”
Asante Kotoko are currently fourth on the Ghana Premier League standings with 20 points, just two points behind Medeama, who are third on the table.
