Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has invited the third batch of players for the ongoing Black Starlets screening exercise at the GFA Technical Centre, Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, on Friday.
The selected group will stay in camp until Tuesday, November 25, as the technical team continues its nationwide talent search ahead of the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
This phase follows the successful completion of assessments for the first two batches, who underwent detailed physical, tactical and technical evaluations under the supervision of the Starlets technical team. Coaches have expressed satisfaction with the level of talent displayed so far.
The third batch will follow the same structured programme, which includes training sessions, match simulations, fitness tests and continuous monitoring by the technical handlers.
The exercise forms part of Ghana’s broader plan to assemble a competitive U17 squad for next year’s tournament in Morocco.
The technical team has noted that the screening is only the first step in the build-up process. Players who excel will be shortlisted for subsequent camps as preparations intensify toward final squad selection for the U17 AFCON.
