President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has extended his support to injured Black Stars midfielder Francis Abu.
Abu, 24, was in action for Ghana on Friday during the Kirin Challenge Cup clash against Japan.
Despite starting the game on his two feet, he left the pitch on a stretcher with a broken leg injury in the second half.
In a post on Facebook reacting to the incident, Kurt Okraku wished the midfielder a speedy recovery, adding that he is confident Abu will return from the setback stronger and better.
“Speedy recovery, son!!! Ghana ð¬ð is with u. You will be back stronger and better,” Kurt Okraku said.
The Ghana FA boss continued, “Thanks to our medical staff for the high level of support offered this far. Also to the medical staff of Toulouse FC who have been so so supportive. Finally, gracias to the entire medical staff of our Japanese brothers!!! Abu will be back by the grace of God.”
Meanwhile, Francis Abu has been recalled by his club, Toulouse FC and is expected to travel to France for a further assessment on his injury.
