All is set for the maiden edition of the MTN Elite U-19 Championship at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the tournament will kick off on Friday, October 24, as planned.
The tournament marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s youth football development agenda and is expected to help unearth and nurture future stars for the various national teams.
All participating regional teams are expected to arrive at the Technical Centre today ahead of the official opening ceremony and commencement of matches.
The championship will run for 11 days with the final scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025.
The inaugural youth competition will feature ten Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 teams, bringing together some of the nation’s most promising young footballers.
The tournament sponsored by MTN Ghana will provide a platform to celebrate emerging talent, teamwork, and football excellence, while offering players an invaluable opportunity to showcase their skills on a national platform.
The Elite U-19 Championship represents a key pillar in the Ghana Football Association’s broader youth development framework.
Through this competition, the Ghana FA seeks to create a structured pathway for young players to progress from grassroots football into professional ranks and national team setups.
