Black Starlets head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has made five changes to his starting XI ahead of Ghana’s crucial final group game against Niger in the ongoing WAFU B U17 Boys Championship in Yamoussoukro.
With a semi-final spot on the line, Dr Ogum has reshuffled his squad in search of a winning formula. Goalkeeper Solomon Kwame Kesse retains his place, but the defence sees changes as Mujahid Osman replaces George Clinton, while Gabriel Denyinah returns after serving a suspension from his red card against Togo. Rashidan Yakubu and Kingsley Fosu complete the backline.
In midfield, Augustine Appiah and Hakeem Kasim come in for Ernest Ofori and Mark Aboagye. They join Michael Awuli and skipper Joseph Narbi, who remains the heartbeat of the team with his creativity and leadership.
Upfront, Mark Kagawa Mensah gets the nod ahead of Eric Adu Gyamfi and will partner Robinho Yao Gavi as Ghana looks to improve their cutting edge in attack.
The Black Starlets, two-time FIFA U17 world champions, know nothing but victory will keep their hopes alive. Dr Ogum’s bold tactical shake-up reflects the urgency as Ghana chases a semi-final ticket.
