GFA secures GHC20m support package for Premier League clubs
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received GH20 million from its joint venture with Adesa Productions Limited and its marketing wing to support Premier League clubs and other stakeholders for the 2025/26 season.A dummy cheque was presented to GFA President Kurt Okraku at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night, ahead of the season opener between Hearts of Oak and newly-promoted Hohoe United.Under the arrangement, each of the 18 Premier League clubs will receive GH1 million, with the remainder allocated to other stakeholders in the domestic game.Adesa Productions has assumed full responsibility for the production of the Ghana Premier League. Matches are broadcast live on TV3 and Onua TV, while games are streamed on YouTube to ensure a wider audience, particularly Ghanaians living abroad.The move is expected to provide significant financial relief to clubs while boosting the visibility and commercial value of the league.
