The Ghana Football Association has completed a scouting exercise in the Northern Belt as part of its ongoing efforts to identify and groom talents for the Elite Academies.
The final round of evaluations, staged at the Kurt E. S. Okraku Technical Centre in Winkogo, brought together more than 120 boys and 60 girls from the Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions.
The session was overseen by a technical team led by FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McClaren, Elite Academy Manager and National Team Department official Joseph Tetteh Zutah, and National U-15 Coach and Scout Manager Fataw Salifu.
The exercise forms a key component of the GFA’s strategy to complete selections for the Northern sector Elite Academy. It also provides an opportunity to replace players progressing to Senior High School (SHS) 2 this year while offering new prospects a platform to showcase their abilities.
The Association has reiterated its commitment to strengthening grassroots football and building sustainable pathways for young players to develop and rise through the national football structure.
