The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with Wilsad Support Ltd, has announced the launch of a syndicated live radio commentary service for the Ghana Premier League (GPL). The coverage will be carried through GhSportsLive and aired nationwide via a network of partner radio stations.
The initiative seeks to bring the GPL closer to millions of football fans by ensuring access to live commentary of matches every matchday, alongside real-time updates from all venues across the country. It also aims to make the league more inclusive by reaching supporters in both urban and rural communities.
GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku described the partnership as “an important step in bringing Ghana football to every corner of the country,” noting that regulated professional commentary will deepen fan engagement and enhance the visibility of the league.
CEO of Wilsad Support Ltd, Wilson Arthur, said the project will make the GPL more accessible, adding: “Football belongs to the people, and this service will ensure every fan, no matter their location, enjoys the excitement in real time.”
The service will officially roll out with the start of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
