Karela United wrapped up their preparations for the start of the Ghana Premier League with a 1-1 draw with Sekondi Hasaacas on Christmas Day.
The Nzema-Aiyinase side had to rally to avoid defeat at the Essipong Stadium.
It was Hasaacas who took the lead through Philip Flamini.
He fed on Isaac Asare's perfectly weighted cross for the friendly's go-ahead goal.
Karela snatched from 12 yards through striker Diewisie Taylor.
The referee pointed to the spot after claiming Ben Ankrah had handled the ball inside the box.
It was a good test for the visitors who face WAFA SC at their adopted Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa on Sunday for their season opener.
