Bengaluru FC coach Carles Cuadrat believes Asamoah Gyan's absence from the NorthEast United team helped his side's course in their victory on Wednesday.
Gyan is currently nursing an injury, which ruled him out of last night's game as Bengaluru snatched a 2-0 victory at NorthEast.
The legendary Ghana striker has been the pivot of the NorthEast United attack and his absence was greatly felt.
"He (Asamoah Gyan) is a wonderful player. He is a killer. He has already shown that he can create a goal from nothing. But he was out today, it happens to every team," said Cudrat after the game.
"It was a very equal game but when you score the first goal, it is better. When it was 0-0 it was an equal game and I have to say NorthEast United are a very good team. They know how they play. It was a difficult job to beat their defence."
Gyan has scored three goals from seven games in the Indian Super League.
