Fomer SK Brann striker Thorstein Helstad has descended heavily on Ghanaian winger Gilbert Koomson for an underwhelming campaign in the just ended Norwegian topflight league.
Brann, one of the big clubs in Norway had a season to forget after finishing 9th, failing to qualify for any European competition.
Helstad singled out forward Gilbert Koomson for a poor campaign insisting the Ghanaian attacker failed to live up to expectations.
"They have a stable that needs to be undergone vigorously. They have spent a lot of money on players who have not delivered. They need offensive players, especially edge players with speed. (Gilbert) Koomson has not delivered as we thought he would," Helstad said.
Koomson scored only two goals in 25 Elisterien games this season.
Thorstein Helstad had two stints with SK Bran, scoring 89 goals in 147 games.
