Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has suffered an injury which could keep him out of action for weeks, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.
Asamoah, 31, has been ruled out of the side's Champions League against Barcelona on Tuesday night due to the setback.
The Ghana international has suffered a recurrence of a knee injury which has troubled his career over the years.
There are now widespread fears the versatile Ghanaian could miss a number of weeks on the sidelines.
Asamoah has featured just two times for Inter since October 20, featuring 81 minutes against Brescia and 18 against Roma.
The absence of the midfielder turned defender is a massive blow for coach Antonio Conte who is without a number of top performers including Alexis Sanchez, Nicolo Barella, Stefano Sensi and Roberto Gagliardini.
