Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2019 African Nations Championship, Hany Abu Reda has disclosed that he be meeting with the CAF Supervisory Committee to set a date for the draw ceremony.
Egypt were chosen as hosts in January to replace Cameroon, who were stripped of the rights due to slow preparations and security concerns.
With the draw set to be held for the competition, Abu Reda is scheduled to hold a meeting with the CAF Supervisory Committee, chaired by Ahmad Ahmad, in the next few days to officially approve the place and date for the lot, whether it will be held under the pyramids in Giza governorate or will be established in Luxor and Aswan Amid the temples and Pharaonic monuments.
The top organizing committee of the tournament chose Mohamed Fadl, the former Al Ahli club star, as executive director of the African Nations Championship, while Hany Abu Reda was appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
It was the African UnionCAIRO, Egypt (Reuters) - Egypt won the tournament after South Africa swept to a vote and obtained 16 votes against a single vote for South Africa , after the decision to withdraw the tournament from Cameroon for lack of readiness.
