League One side Luton Town FC are eyeing a January move for Ghana forward Kwesi Appiah.
According to HITC sports, a number of Championship and League One clubs are weighing up a move for the forward who has returned to form in recent weeks.
Appiah has been in a rich vein of form for AFC Wimbledon scoring three goals in his last five games, including the winner in last weekend's FA Cup third round victory over Fleetwood Town to set up a fourth round clash with Premier League side West Ham.
The 28 year old’s displays have brought him on the radar of a number of clubs in the Championship and League One who are all looking to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window.
Appiah's recent form have also seen him mentioned for a possible recall to the Ghana squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.
However, AFC Wimbledon would be reluctant to lose Appiah during this month's transfer window, but it is believed the striker has a £100,000 buy-out in his contract at the League One club.
Reports of Appiah's buy-out clause is sure to make him an attractive proposition to his suitors knowing they could land the in-form striker for a cut-price fee this month.
Luton are looking to bring in a new striker in January to strengthen their bid for promotion from League One and they have been keeping tabs on Appiah's situation.
