Real Oviedo midfielder Richard Boateng could enjoy more playing opportunities if coach Juan Antonio Anquela implements his preferred 4-2-3-1 system for the second half of season.
All week, Anquela worked on that formation ahead of Monday night’s Segunda match against Numancia.
If Anquela settles on 4-2-3-1 system, Boateng would occupy the midfielder place.
It is his natural position where he excelled last season for Melilla in the Segunda Division B, scoring 14 goals.
Boateng was restricted to just 11 matches during the first half of the season because of the 4-3-3 formation being employed.
