Philadelphia Union forward David Accam has called on the handlers of the Black Stars to invite only in-form players to the senior national team.
According to the winger, who last played for the senior national team in 2017, call ups should be based on the form of players and not favour.
“I think they should invite players when they are on form, because that is when they player can give his best to the team,” he spoke in an interview on GH One TV
“Every player will like to play for the National team and so at the point that the player is playing with at his Club that is when he must be invited,” he added.
Head coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah has been criticised for inviting players that are struggling at their clubs in Europe.
David Accam was a member of the Black Stars team that finished second at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
