Sporting director of VfB Lübeck Stefan Schnoor says his outfit are yet to find a breakthrough in their negotiation to sign Ghanaian defender Marcel Appiah.
Appiah, 31, has been on trial at the German lower-tier side after leaving VfL Osnabrück in the summer.
The centre-back has been offered a contract ahead of the winter transfer window after impressing the club's hierarchy during the trials.
However, the VfL Lübeck's chief Schnoor says they are yet to agree on a deal with the guardsman following weeks of negotiations.
"Our offer is, I'm waiting for the call of his advisor - if he should not report until the next week, then regulates our sports director Michael Hopp." Schnoor said.
Appiah has played for clubs such as Schalke 04, Arminia Bielefeld and NEC Nijmegen.
