Former Asante Kotoko forward Dauda Mohammed has urged players of the club to target the money zone of the CAF Confederation Cup as they begin their adventure in Africa on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors are in Kenya to play Kariobangyi Sharks in the 1/16th stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
However, following disappointing exits at the first stage of the competition in recent times, the RSC Anderletch forward has challenged his former side to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.
“The should keep in mind they are going to represent Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the fans are expecting them and give all out.” told Kumasi based radio station Angel 96.1 Fm.
“They should do well to eliminate their opponent at the first stage and also try all out to reach the money zone of the CAF Confederation Cup.”he added.
Asante Kotoko's best performance in the competition was in the inaugural year, where they reach the final playing arch rivals Hearts of Oak. They lost on penalties after two legs.
