Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo has admitted that his performance has improved since joining Belgian side Genk.
The former Inter Allies player signed for Genk last summer from Swedish side Hammarby IF and has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in Belgium.
Thus far this season, Aidoo has featured 20 times in all competitions, scoring one goal.
"It's true that I stepped forward in Genk. Especially to the ball. The fruit of very focused training. The ball has become much more my friend", he says to Het Belang van Limburg.
Last week Joseph Aidoo made a costly mistake, scoring an own goal as Genk lost 2-1 to Cercle Brugge in the league.
"That goal against Cercle was not a blunder, but brutal bad luck, I slipped, otherwise that ball would have been in the stands, but I also made my mistakes, I take it, they are part of the learning process. we say that the redeeming rain only comes after a few storm winds, you have to survive to become stronger, I am strong in my head, I can leave such a mistake, like in the match against Besiktas, when I was after the peace of mind."
