Ghana frontman Kevin Prince Boateng has ascribed the US Sassuolo big win over Genoa to hard work.
After opening his goal scoring account in the league last week in the 2-2 draw against Cagliari, Boateng registered his name on the scoresheet again by fetching the first goal for the Neroverdi in their 5-3 win over his former side Genoa in Week 3 of the Italian Serie A.
The 31-year-old is delighted with the result claiming that it will spur them on in their aim to finish high on the league log.
"I do not know what we did, we worked hard and we had fun. After the fourth goal everything seemed easy, it's normal with this young team. We got three points at home, it's positive because we played well," Kevin Prince Boateng told SkySports.
Boateng was joined on the scoresheet by Kouma Babacar and Domenico Berardi and the Ghana international was asked his assessment on his partnership with the duo.
"We did a great job in the first half despite the first fifteen minutes - replied the former Milan player -."We are a great group, the guys who go on the bench do not get angry, this is about the coach who keeps everyone together. The team played well, there are two or three things we need to fix. Great match and great victory, now we can rest. The inverted? I still do these things once in a while, Babacar is a great striker and he has scored. Now we rest, then we will think about the race with Juventus."
