Western Regional Football Chairman Kojo Yankah has disclosed that he will not be contesting for the position again when the Normalisation Committee are through with their work, but says he could contest for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidency instead.
Several match officials and football administrators, including the then President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi were captured on camera receiving bribes. This led to the resignation of the former CAF 1st Vice capo.
Many advocates were outraged at the content of the documentary which prompted the government to file a petition to liquidate the football governing body describing it as "an obscene emblem of scandal, corruption and illegal enterprise.
But after series of legal battles between the GFA and the Government, FIFA and Government of Ghana came to an understanding to form a Normalisation Committee to replace the EXCO.
"I won't stand for the RFA position again. It is a personal decision," Yankah told Happy FM.
"I can contest for the GFA presidency. Let's wait for the time and see. I will beat Alhaji Karim Grusah for the presidency."
