Ghana forward Emmanuel Boateng has been confirmed fit for the Spanish La Liga clash against rivals Valencia on Sunday.
The Black Stars forward has been out for a couple of weeks after sustaining an injury during preseason. The 22 year old suffered from a meniscus tear.
Boateng was operated on his left meniscus but has recovered and started full training with the rest of the squad ahead of the Valencia derby.
The former Moreirense forward was dropped from the Black Stars squad for the African Cup qualifier against Kenya on September 8, but teammate Raphael Dwamena has been confirmed for the game. The Ghana international missed the first two La Liga games against Real Betis and Celta Vigo. Levante coach Paco López earlier confirmed the player will be available for the Valencia game after he started training few days ago. "Right now, with Boateng's injury, which I do not think is beyond the third match, we have Raphael , Roger and Morales ," assured the coach on Friday. The forward was operated on his meniscus on June 25 after he picked up the setback during a pre-season friendly against Bournemouth at the La Manga facility. He was ruled out for a period between four-six weeks.
