Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng says he is proud of his new teammates after Sassuolo beat Inter Milan 1-0 in their opening serie A game.
Sassuolo defeated Kwadwo Asamoah's Inter Milan by a goal to nil courtesy a Domenico Berardi penalty in the first half.
Boateng, who shockingly joined Sassuolo in the summer from Frankfurt expressed satisfaction in the victory over the Italian giants.
He posted," Daiiiiii!!! #forzasasol proud of my team and so happy to be back."
The 31 year old lasted 84 minutes of the game and was replaced by Khouma Babacar.
Meanwhile, compatriot Alfred Duncan lasted the entire duration and hugely impressed against his former employers.
Another Ghanaian who played in the fixture was Kwadwo Asamoah. He played 90 minutes but could not help the Nerazzuris to victory on his competitive debut.
Kevin Prince Boateng and Alfred Dunca will travel with their Sassuolo teammates to Cagliari for their second game of the season.
