Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey has joined Villarreal CF ahead of the new Spanish La Liga season.
The former Dreams FC midfielder joins Villarreal on a season long loan from lower tier side Cordoba.
The 20-year-old was in the books of Extramadura, helping the side to the second-tier league after beating Cartegena in the Segunda B Division playoff final
The La-born midfielder's impressive performance earned himself a deal with Cordoba.
He will join the Yellow Submarines for the La Liga season, but will be giving a permanent deal if he impresses his new suitors.
Emmanuel Lomotey agreed a loan deal with the club last month but his move to Villarreal was stalled over visa and work permits issues.
However, he joins his new club on Tuesday and he's expected to begin training with the club in the coming days as the La Liga season begins this weekend.
He joins compatriots Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Raphael Dwamena, Emmauel Boateng and Patrick Twumasi as Ghanains plying their trade in the Spanish topflight.
