Asante Kotoko left back Daniel Darkwah has undergone a successful shoulder surgery and is set to be out between six to eight weeks.
The former Aduana Stars defender, has been out for sometime due to the recurring shoulder injury but has finally undergone a surgery to correct the injury.
He is expected to be out of action for about two months.
The defender was reported to have been ignored by the club after it was revealed he needed about GHC 10,000 for the surgery.
However, management of the team refuted such claims and have been to the aid of the player.
Darkwah was a key member of Aduana Stars last season when they won the Ghana premier league and walked into the Kotoko team with ease.
Asante Kotoko's former Communications Director confirmed the surgery has been carried on via his social media handle.
